Rent a Plot

The Tuscany Community Garden has plots available to rent to residents of Tuscany. The garden is located on the corner of Tuscany Hill and Tuscany Meadows Drive (south of the Tuscany Elementary School) in northwest Calgary. The location was secured in partnership with the City of Calgary Parks and the Calgary Board of Education.

Gardeners may grow annual plants such as tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, beans, peas, squash, or flowers. Gardeners are not permitted to plant perennials or invasive plants (including mint), and the garden is chemical-free.

Each gardener is responsible for planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting his or her own plot. Gardeners must remove all plant debris (from weeding or harvesting) from the community garden. There is no garbage pick-up at the site.

Each gardener must volunteer several hours to weeding communal areas and watering trees and flower beds.

We recommend fencing around your plot to keep out hares.

Garden plots must be cleaned up by October 31 each year.
